The Beaty Mill, circa 1900. This mill, located on the northwest edge of Hayden, was the last saw and gristmill in Spencer Twp. Steam engines powered the mill to saw the timber to make lumber and to grind the corn into meal and the wheat into flour. This mill benefited the farmers of the area, as well as providing employment for several of the men in the community. Done
