The pre-1900 bedroom features furniture and other items, most of which had belonged to local families. The floor was taken from an old home in the area which was built in 1872.
The 1939 kitchen has a wood stove, ice box, pitcher pump, crank telephone, oil lamps, and a battery radio which would soon be replaced once electricity was available.
Step into the Living Room and be transported back to the year 1965. See a mix of furnishings and other items that were common to most of the homes in this area at this time.
The mid 1950's school room has a mix of furniture, artifacts, and school related items, some of which came from the old Hayden schoolhouse. The display also contains the Haymakers trophy case with the awards they won at the time when Hayden still had a high school.

Farming has always been an important element in the development of our community. This exhibit pays tribute to the rich agricultural heritage for our area.

The exhibit also honors those individuals in Jennings County whose lives have been devoted as leaders in the field of agriculture.

Hayden native, Edgar D. Whitcomb, was elected Indiana's Governor in 1969. This exhibit is filled with the memorabilia from his illustrious political career

We have documented over 400 Spencer Twp. men and women who have served in the armed services, from the Revolutionary War up to the present. The military exhibit includes artifacts and uniforms belonging to local persons. These items help highlight the contributions each has made while serving their country.
Other smaller exhibits are on display which have been designed and built by the Hayden Little Hoosier Historians. These are exhibits which were entered in the Indiana Junior Historical Society's annual State Convention and then put on display here.

Some of these include exhibits on:
The history of the school system for Spencer Twp.
The outhouses of Jennings County.
The town of Hayden: Now and Then.
The history of the postal service for the community.
The history of the Beaty Mill.
