Library Cards

Patrons can use their new Evergreen Indiana Library Card at any Evergreen Indiana library, but their card must be received from their local library. Due to the number of similarly named customers in the system, library cards should always be present to check out any items. If a card is lost, a replacement can be purchased for $2.00.

Checkout

Most items checkout for 1 (one) or 3 (three) weeks. One week items include: DVDs, VHS tapes and magazines. Three week items include: books, music CDs and books on tape/CD.

Book Renewal

All items may be renewed once unless another customer has a hold on the item. New DVDs and VHS Tapes are not renewable.

Fines

Items will have a 1 (one) day grace period before fines are assessed. After the grace period, each overdue item accrues a $0.25 fine for each day it is late. Fines and fees should be paid to the library the item was checked out from.

Borrowing from Another Library

Patrons will be able to place holds on items belonging to other Evergreen Indiana libraries. Items will be delivered to their local library. Items can be returned to any Evergreen Indiana library. Holds can not be placed on DVDs, VHS tapes or items less than 6 months old from another library.

Checkout Limits

There is a 100 item limit on checkouts. Patrons can only have 10 DVDs and 10 VHS tapes at a time.
