Hi Everyone, 5-29-97 Ninth in the series. Well the Sky Arrow project has moved into a new phase with the successful inspection by the FAA. The very last part (name tag) was placed yesterday afternoon. Two guys from the FAA came down from Indy and spent two hours going over our builder's log, photos, and finally the inspection of the airplane. The plane passed with flying colors, and they commented that it was one of the nicer planes they have inspected. We have completed about half the taxi tests before the rain moved in, so the rest of taxi testing and flight test will now be move to the local airport. David Zigan is on his way back from France for a week of vacation, so hopefully the weather will be nice and we can get first flight off this week while he is around. So the game plan now is Dad will fly off the 40 hours required for flight test in our 25 nautical mile radius, (includes our own grass strip). Then if all goes well he should be able to fly it to Oshkosh! Jim
