Entering A Sensual World

The void filled me, and was me.
More dead than alive,
I wandered the darkness.
.
. .
. . .
. . . .
. . . . .
Nothing.
. . . . .
. . . .
. . .
. .
.
No sight, no sound.
No taste, no touch.
No smell.
. .
. .
. .
Suddenly,
a light, a roar.
A taste of sweetness, the feel of softness.
The smell of wildflowers.
A warmth suffused me.
Everywhere, there was something.
All my senses were alive.
. .
. .
. .
I felt the presence.
I knew her
before I had seen her.
I knew her
before a sound was made.
She was a part of me
before a thought could form.
My heart, my soul, my mind.
All were hers.
She was the part of me
that opened all my senses.
I realized then
that I did not walk
in nothingness,
I merely walked alone.
. .
. .
. .
I no longer feel the void.
I no longer walk alone.
