How
does this work?
Kindergartners from Jac-Cen-Del
learned about the inner workings of the Ripley
County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday afternoon,
when Mrs. Kreutzjans class (Group B) took a
field trip. Sheriff Bill Davison told the group
he and his staff would try to answer all of
their questions. School Liaison Officer Mike
Benjamin helped the children understand about
the dangers that strangers pose, what goes
on in the 911 Communications Center and showed
them the control center in the Ripley County
Jail.

The
Proctor and Gamble Big Band provided music
Saturday evening, November 8, where guests
could dance to tunes such as "I'm in the
Mood" by Glenn Miller and more old-time
favorites. The Third Annual Fundraiser sponsored
by the Ripley County Community Foundation,
Inc. was held at the Knights of Columbus at
Batesville and was well attended. The theme "Puttin'
on the Ritz - 20's Style" was reflected
in decor and dress.
