Friendship

|
LINDA CHANDLER PHOTO
|
| At
about 9:40 p.m. last Wednesday, March 9, firemen
from the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department
responded to a fire at the Clayton Nickell's
residence at 2787 E. County Road 900 S., Cross
Plains. Fire Chief Tim Huntington noted that
the fire began in the chimney and then went up
the outside of the house, destroying an upper
room and attic. A neighbor saw the fire and called
911. Huntington wasn't sure of the damage estimate,
but said the upper rooms and attic were the most
affected. Rescue 69 responded to the scene along
with the fire department. |
