Taylor's Tae Kwon
Do Academy hosted a Tae Kwon Do Karate
Invitational Championship on Saturday,
March 12 at the Ameircan Legion Post
267 in Osgood. Approximately four
other school from Southeastern Indiana
competed in the Invitational.
At most local martial arts tournaments
points are given during the fighting
competition on a contact basis. If
blood is drawn then the attacker
is disqualified. There is a center
ref
eree, four corner judges and a time keeper. The competitors are marked red
and blue and the rounds go for two minutes or the first person to score three
points.
The weapons, breaking and form competition
are all done the same way with a
panel of three to four judges and
a score keeper.
This was the fourth karate tournament
held in Ripley County by Taylor's
Tae Kwon Do Academy. There were over
100 people that attended this martial
arts competition.
Gold, silver and bronze medals with
a red, white and blue ribbon were
awarded.

1st's and a 2nd, Bradley Dillon- two 1st's and a 2nd, Andrew Begley- two 1st's
and a 3rd, Zachary Smith- a 1st and two 2nd's, Matt Moorman- two 1st's, a 2nd
and a 3rd, Jordan Dean- a 1st, 2nd and 3rd, Sabrina Taylor- a 1st, 2nd and
3rd, Jessie Lamb- a 1st and 2nd, Denver Taylor- three 2nd's and a 3rd, David
Myers- two 1st's, a 2nd and a 3rd, Sam Johnson- a 1st and three 2nd's, Doug
Dean- two 2nd's and a 3rd, Mark Uebel- two 2nd's and a 3rd, Ben Demaree- a
2nd and two 3rd's, Cody Lloyd- a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd, Michael Fancher- three
1st's and a 2nd, Dalton Burdette- three 3rd's and Steve Grossman- two 1st's
