After several months of investigation, Bernard A. Reeves, 34, owner of B&D Computers in Penntown, was arrested last Monday, December 5, by Batesville police officers at his Batesville residence.

According to information from Lt. Stan Holt of the Batesville Police Department, a warrant was issued after charges were filed on December 2, by Ripley County Prosecutor Richard Hertel. The charges include four counts of Fraud, a class D Felony.

The charges stem from an investigation that began in March when a Ripley County resident reported to the Batesville Police that unauthorized transactions had been made on her credit card.

Reeves is suspected of using his customers' credit card information to make unauthorized purchases over the Internet. Four county residents have been victims so far. The unauthorized transactions amounted to several hundred dollars according to police.

If you believe you could be a potential victim, contact Lt. Holt at the Batesville Police Department at 934-3131.
