Gary Franklin - Sports Writer

Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagle Janelle Hardesty has been named to Hoosier Basketball Magazine's 2005-2006 list of Top 100 Seniors. This list is compiled by Garry H. Donna, publisher of Hoosier Basketball magazine.

Hardesty was chosen as a result of compilation of the observation of many games during the past season as well as contact and discussion with numerous coaches and

sportswriters and sportscasters throughout Indiana. In addition all 60 coaches who vote in the ICGSA poll were asked for nominations.

Further research and evaluation is occurring in search of a final list of 40 girls and 10 participating alternates whom will be invited to Hoosier Basketball Magazine's 24th Annual Top 40 Workout, Sunday March 12 at Ben Davis High School.

The purpose of the Top 40 Workout is threefold:

1. To enable 50 of the best seniors of 2005-2006 to meet and compete.

2. To afford these 50 seniors additional and significant exposure in front of numerous college coaches in attendance.

3. To enable Indiana-Kentucky All-Star Series officials from The Indianapolis Star, the sponsoring organization of the series to see outstanding seniors who are eligible for the 2006 All-Star Series.

This workout will be divided into two sessions: 1:00-3:00 p.m. and 3:30-5:30 p.m. with both sessions open to the public. Twenty-five girls will participate in each session.
