The Dollar General Store is another
step closer to coming to Osgood. At the last meeting of the
Ripley County Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, Hurley &
Stewart applied for a variance from the required 57 parking
spaces to 32 parking spaces for 115 Olive Street in Osgood.
Their request was granted.
A billboard will be allowed for the Ertel Cellers Winery in
Batesville. Andrew V. Weisenbachs application for special
exception for the billboard in the General Business District
was approved.
Mike and Victoria Lipps asked for a variance from the required
road frontage of 100' to 68' to permit a survey to divide property
in the Agricultural-1 zone. The five acres is located at 80
E. County Rd. 700S in Versailles. Their request was granted.
Wm Dean Steinmetz applied for a variance from the required road
frontage of 80' to 60' in the Residential-2 District and from
the required width to depth ratio of 4-1 in the Agricultural-1
District to permit a survey to divide property. The 48 acres
is located between 2007 and 2013 N. State Road 101 in Milan.
Officers were elected for 2007. Maureen Sheets will be president,
Roger Lang, vice president, and Tad Brinson, secretary.
All five members of the board were present: David Nuhring, Maureen
Sheets, Michael Baker, representing the largest municipality
- Milan, Roger Lang, Planning Commission appointment, and Denessa
Benkie, second largest municipality - Versailles. Attorney John
Ertel and Planning Director Tad Brinson were present to advise
the board.
The next regular meeting of the Ripley County Board of Appeals
will be on February 27 at 7:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Room
of the Ripley County Courthouse Annex.
