Ladies enjoy Queen's Tea
15 Miss Ripley County hopefuls attend event

The 2007 Ripley County Queen contestants attended the 4-H Queen
Tea where they received tips on make up and hairstyles.
The queen court consists of: Kayla Bradley of Osgood, daughter
of Rob Bradley and Robyn Mulroy. She attends Jac-Cen-Del High
School. Activities include: Sunshine Society, German Club, Students
Against Destructive Decisions, Student Council, Track, and Cross
Country. Her sponsor is Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home.
Lacie Cain of Versailles, is the daughter of David Cain and Catherine
Beach. She is a recent graduate of South Ripley High School. She
will be attending college to pursue a degree in Nursing. Activities
include: Varsity Club, Sunshine Society, Math Club, Soccer, Health
Careers Club, FFA, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Spanish
Club, and Social Studies Club. Her sponsor is Tan N Tone.
Ashley Carpenter of Osgood is the daughter of Bob and Lorrie Carpenter.
She is a recent graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She will
be attending Ivy Tech College to become a Medical Lab Technician.
Her activities include: Students Against Destructive Decisions,
German Club, Art Club, Sunshine Society, FFA and Chorus. Her sponsor
is Odyssey Full Service Salon.
Randi Delap of Milan is the daughter of Steve and Donna Delap.
She attends Milan High School. Her activities include: 4-H, National
Honor Society, Band, and her church youth group. Her sponsor is
Steve Delap Trucking.
Suzanne Elsen of Versailles is the daughter of Lisa Fisk and the
late Blaine Smith. She is a recent graduate of South Ripley High
School. She will be pursuing a career in Medical Office Administration.
Her activities include: Varsity Club, Spanish Club, Students Advocating
Education, Math Club and Yearbook. Her sponsors are Windows by
Margie and Pink Designs.
Amanda Hartman of Sunman is the daughter of Marvin and Sue Hartman.
She is a sophomore at IUPUI majoring in Radiography. Her activities
include: Ball Residence Hall Council, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor
Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, 4-H, Junior Leaders, National
Honor Society, Cheerleading, Tennis, Drill Team, and a high school
class officer. Her sponsor is Chilis.
Elisabeth Hicks of Cross Plains is the daughter of Pamela Hicks.
She attends South Ripley High School. Her activities include:
Student Council, Academic Team, FFA, National Muzzle Loading Rifle
Association, and the Social Studies Club. Her sponsor is Tom Downey.
Kaitlin Hughes of Osgood is the daughter of Tom and Donna Hughes.
She is a recent graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She will
be attending college to become a music teacher and performer.
Her activities include: 4-H, Student Council, Sunshine Society,
National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions,
Fellowship of Christian Athletes, class secretary, band, choir,
track, cross country and cheerleading. Her sponsor is Comer Buildings.
Brittany Joseph of Holton is the daughter of William and Shanna
Joseph. She is attending Jac-Cen-Del High School. Her activities
include: Students Against Destructive Decisions, Sunshine Society,
German Club, choir, flag corp, Girl Scouts and golf. Her sponsor
is Victorian and Lace.
Natalie Neal of Osgood is the daughter of Scott Neal and Regina
Alcorn. She is a recent graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School. She
is attending Ivy Tech College to pursue a career in nursing and
plans to one day become a Veterinarian. Her activities include:
FFA, National Honor Society, and Skills USA. Her sponsor is Neal
Motor Co.
Elizabeth Record of Batesville is the daughter of David and Gloria
Record. She is a recent graduate of East Central High School.
She will be attending Indiana University to become a Nurse Anesthetist
or Anesthesiologist. Her activities include: Student Council/Student
Body President, National Honor Society, ECHS Tutor, Chess Club,
Volleyball, Dance Team, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Prom
Committee, Senior Scholarship Committee, Social Studies Club,
Students Against Destructive Decisions, SOS, track and field,
and Student Government. Her sponsor is Tudor Square Realty.
Emily Schmaltz of Milan is the daughter of Chris and Mary Schmaltz.
She is attending Milan High School. Her activities include: National
Honor Society, FFA,, 4-H, Junior Leaders, and basketball. Her
sponsor is Paul and Elsie Luke.
Daniele Wiedeman of Sunman is the daughter of Scott and Shele
Wiedeman. She is a recent graduate of East Central High School
and will be attending the University of Indianapolis to become
a Physical Therapist. Her activities include: basektball, SOS,
North Star Mission Group, and she is a member of St. Johns
United Church of Christ. Her sponsor is Zimmer Yamaha/Hasting
Racing.
Miss Ripley County of 2006 is Amanda Harmeyer of Batesville. She
is the daughter of Gerald and Melinda Harmeyer. She is a sophomore
at the University of Indianapolis studying Human Biology and one
day hopes to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Her activities
include: St. Maurice Catholic Church member, community service
projects in Indianapolis, and a receptionist at Comer and Ertel
Law Office. As a contestant she was sponsored by Ripley County
Pork Producers.
