The Milan High School Cheerleader Squad, which includes seven
seniors, rose for the occasion in their Sunday, August 26
appearance at the Swis Wine Festival Cheerleader Competition
to take third place amid the nine teams.
The Lady Indians behind the direction of Coach Anne Marie
Layden, delighted the onlooking crowd with their movement
and uniformity as they performed before the judges.
The Owen County Rebels of Kentucky won. Judged in second place
were the East Central Trojans. The Lady Indians were followed
in third place by fourth place South Dearborn Knights.
The five other high school squads competing were: South Ripley
