Eli Stover, Jr.
Eli Stover, Jr., 58, of Holton, passed away on
Thursday, February 21, 2008. He was born on August 10, 1949
on the Pine Ridge Reservation, SD. He is the son of Eli H. and
Martha Wilcox Stover.
Survivors include partner in life, Marilyn; one son, Eli (Junior)
Stover; family members: Carrie Tackett, Bob Tackett, Brooke,
Brittany, Brandon and Brett; sisters: Betty Marks, Beverly Hendrix
and Janis Jones; brother: Dave Stover and numerous other family
members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Thomas Stover.
Mr. Stover was a member of the Oglala Sioux Indian tribe and
was loved by all.
Traditional burial services were provided by his tribe in the
Black Hills National Cemetery on his mothers reservation,
Rosebud, in South Dakota.
Norma H. Melson
Norma H. Melson, 92, of Aurora, passed away on Tuesday, February
26, 2008 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was
born on August 31, 1915 in Mt. Sinai, the daughter of John E.
House and Anna Maria Dittmer. She married Samuel M. Melson and
he preceded her in death on September 4, 1987.
Survivors include two sons: Samuel M. (Vickie) Melson, Jr.,
and David Eric Melson; two grandchildren: Samuel J. Melson and
Benjamin Melson; one sister: Dorothy Brady; and many nieces
and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and
sisters.
Mrs. Melson was a retired homemaker, who enjoyed music, flowers,
and animals.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 29 at 2 p.m. from
Filter-DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro. Burial will be in
Mt. Sinai Cemetery. The family will meet friends at the funeral
home on Friday from 12 noon until service time. Memorials may
be given to First United Methodist Church in Aurora. Filter-DeVries
Funeral Home in Dillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Michael Huffmeyer
Michael Huffmeyer, 42, of Osgood, passed away on Tuesday, February
26, 2008 at his residence. He was born on October 12, 1965 in
Greensburg, the son of Norman and Alice Bodenburg Huffmeyer.
He married Angie Thayer on April 17, 1993 and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Spencer and one daughter Shelbie,
both at home; his mother, Alice Huffmeyer; his father and mother-in-law:
Doug and Jerri Thayer of Osgood; two brothers: Doug and Susie
Huffmeyer of Osgood and Gary and Donna Huffmeyer of Osgood;
one sister: Cindy and Larry Menkedick of Greensburg; and many
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Huffmeyer was a 1984 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High School.
He was employed for more than ten years at Stones Farm Service
in Greensburg, where he worked as a mechanic, but his passion
was farming, which he had to give up for health reasons. He
was a member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in Napoleon.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February
29 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church with Rev. Gary Groth
and Rev. Don Buck officiating. Burial will be in the St. Johns
Lutheran Cemetery in Napoleon. Visitation is being held today,
Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home
in Versailles.
Memorials may be given to the Huffmeyer Children Education Fund,
Napoleon Vol. Fire Department, St. Johns Lutheran Church
or Kings Daughters Hospice.

Ila June Keene
Ila June Keene, 63, of Osgood, passed away on
Monday, February 18, 2008 at her residence. She was born in
Batesville on June 23, 1944, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude
Kelch Castner.
Survivors include son, Todd (Julie) Keene of Osgood; two daughters,
Lana Keene (and special friend Richard McKenzie) of Vevay and
Amy (Joe) Meo of Rushville; one brother, C.T. Sugo (Mary Ann)
Castner of Versailles; and three grandchildren: Destiny Goodall,
Sydney Keene and Anthony Meo.
Ms. Keene worked at Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood as
a Dietary Manager for 25 years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, with visitation
from 5-7 p.m. and a memorial service at 7 p.m. at Neals
Funeral Home in Osgood. Memorials may be given to the Jac-Cen-Del
Girls Athletic fund or Am Heart Fund. Neals Funeral Home
in Osgood is in charge of arrangements.

Margaret V. Seaver "Boots"
Margaret V. Seaver "Boots", 81, of
Dillsboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Dearborn
County Hospital. She was born on November 7, 1926 in Cincinnati,
Ohio, the daughter of Elzie and Mollie Elkins Willman.
Survivors include two sons: Johnnie R. Seaver (Jackie) of Dillsboro
and Bobby Bowman (Barbara) of Cleves, Ohio; two brothers: Herbie
Willman (Vickie) of Aurora and Cliffy Willman (Loretta) of Stateline
Rd; one sister: Lillian Cox of Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren:
Johnnie Seaver Jr., Shawn Seaver, Chasity Seaver, Bobby Bowman
Jr., Timmy Bowman and J.B. Bowman;several great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers
and sisters.
Ms. Seaver was employed for several years at Beverly Industries
and many years at Friendship flea market. She was also a member
of the Ripley County Democratic Party for several years.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 15 at 11 a.m.
at Filter-DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro. Visitation will
be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials
may be given to the 50Plus Club. Filter-DeVries Funeral Home
is in charge of arrangements.
Eileen M. Myers
Eileen M. Myers, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday,
February 11, 2008. She was born on September 27, 1928 in Cincinnati,
Ohio. She married Melvin C. Myers and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Julie A. (Tom) Thornburg
and Linda J. (Steve) Haskins; son, Charley (Jennifer) Myers;
and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and artist.
Visitation is being held today, Thursday, from 4-8 p.m. at Flanner
& Buchanan Funeral Center in Lawrence and the services will
be held on Friday at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial
will be in Greendale Cemetery in Osgood. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the Community Heath Network Foundation
(1500 N Ritter Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219). Please put "For

Mary Lou Stevenson
Mary Lou Stevenson, 64, of Westport, passed away
on Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
She was born at Batesville on July 17, 1943, the daughter of
Willard and Lillie Mae Baker Rose. She married J.B. (Jim) Stevenson
on February 27, 1970 and he survives.
Other survivors include two sons: James Lattire of Columbus
and William Clay Stevenson of Milroy; one daughter: Karla Marie
Howard and her husband Mark of TN; two step-sons: Gwen Stevenson
and his wife Sharon of KY and Jamie Stevenson of Moorefield;
one step-daughter: Connie Purdum of CO; six grandchildren; two
great grandchildren; and one sister: Christine Asche of Delaware.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill
Rose.
Mrs. Stevenson was a homemaker and a member of the Milan United
Methodist Church. She was a 1961 graduate of Jac-Cen-Del High
School.
Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, at 11 a.m.
at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev.
Roy Lambert of the New Day Community Church in Columbus officiating.
Burial will be in the Adams Lutheran Cemetery near Batesville.
Visitation will also be on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time
of services. Memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation

Jack Kellerman, 65, of Batesville, passed away on Monday, February
4, 2008. Funeral services are being held today, Thursday, at
