As Timothy Carter of Austin, fights for his life, his family, mom Jewell and stepfather, Allen Beach, of Holton, search for answers.

Carter was critically injured on May 6 when he was waiting to turn into this parents’ lumber company on US 50 just west of Michigan Road. He was rear-ended by a police cruiser.

“My son is critical,” Jewell told the Osgood Journal. She said he has lost a lung, has a lacerated liver, several broken ribs and jaw, just to mention some of his injuries sustained when he was hit and thrown from his motorcycle.

The family is looking for anyone who was an eyewitness to the tragic accident that has left a 44-year-old man paralyzed and fighting to live.

If you have any information you can contact Jewell at 812-458-6558 or 812-689-6201. “Please call anytime,” Jewell noted, as she hopes someone will come forward and tell what they saw that evening.
