Welcome center officially open

The Ripley County Welcome Center held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 29 to celebrate the opening of the new location. The new offices of the Ripley County Chamber, Economic Development and Tourism are all located in the new welcome center along with Designs by Davison Floral & Gifts. Pictured from left are Bob Rogers, Rising Sun Regional Foundation, holding the ribbon, Katherine Taul, tourism director, Pam Weiler, adm. assistant and Gary Norman, director of Ripley County Economic Development; Amy Thomas, executive director of the Ripley County Chamber of Commerce all cutting the ribbon, and Marianne Wiggers, president of the Rising Sun Regional Foundation. Many county officials and board members of the above mentioned organizations were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony. The new Ripley County Welcome Center is located in the former A Touch of Country building in Versailles on US 50.
