The South Ripley Lady Raider soccer team found much satisfaction in their 3-0 victory over the visiting SwH Lady Rebels in their last regular season home game of 2012 on Thursday evening, September 27.

Senior night at SRHS was unsuspenseful with no seniors on the 2012 team. However, action on the field drew positive results with the Lady Raiders winning 3-0 over the visiting Southwestern Hanover Lady Rebels.

A pair of goals scored by SR in the opening half of the game were marked up to a Lydia Asbury goal with an assist by Lindsay Comer off a mishandled shot by the SwH goalie.

Later in the first half action, Cumberworth connected for a second Lady Raider goal, taking the score to 2-0 at the halftime break.

First half shots on goal by SR were 11-1 by SwH.

Second half action resulted in another Lady Raider goal by Emily Cumberworth off a corner kick by Kyanna Clippert escalating the final count to SR 3-0 over SwH.

Lady Raider goalie Hayley Fossett and her Lady Raider defender teammates rendered it impossible for the visiting Lady Rebels to net even one goal during the contest.

South Ripley got five shots on goal to SwH's four.

Extended season action slates the Lady Raiders in an IHSAA Girls Soccer Sectional battle at Lawrenceburg HS, against the Oldenburg Academy Lady Twisters at 5:30 p.m., on Tuesday, October 2.
