CRUISE SHIP VACATIONS

I also have a great interest in cruises and cruise ships.   If you too have an interest in this kind of vacation, click on one of the two pages listed below. They contain a wide variety of information about cruise lines and cruise ships.
When you're ready to talk to a good agent about booking your cruise, contact:

Independent Cruise Specialists
Rich & Tammy Walton
  1-800-765-2164
                              Or e-mail to
rwalton401@aol.com

CRUISE LINE Notes and LINKS - Click on this line to see our notes for 25 different cruise lines. These notes and homepage links will give you some idea of what to expect from each cruise line and, if your thinking of going on a cruise, it will better prepare you to choose the right cruise for your personality, budget, and destination preferences.

CRUISE SHIP COMPARISONS - This is a page of information on most of the Cruise Ships in the world. It gives the name of the Cruise line, name of the ship, year built or refurbished, gross tonnage, and passenger capacity. You might need to use an updated copy of Netscape to view it properly.

AIR TRAVEL

Here are some great places to get that important Air Travel Information like schedules, airports, airplanes, seating diagrams, maps, weather, telephone numbers, and much more.

CAR RENTAL

TRAIN TRAVEL

Take a look at the Amtrak page and you will soon be exploring the world of rail riding in the U.S.A.  Their web site is very extensive and well done.  Try the new on-line reservations and ticketing section, where you can see real time schedules, make a reservation, and buy a ticket for the trip of your dreams!  Or you can call them at 1-800-872-7245.

BUS TRAVEL

Greyhound has made some significant improvements to their homepage.  You can get all the information you need, check out their specials, and even buy tickets online.
-  Fares & Schedules: (800) 229-9424

ACCOMMODATIONS

Need to find a place to spend the night on your next trip?
Try one of these links to search for a Bed & Breakfast or Motel at your destination.
MAPS - If you already know where you want to go and just need a map to get there, I like to use
Yahoo "Maps".  Type in the address you need a map for and click on the "Get Map" button. The next page will show the map you are looking for. Check out the options around the boarder. You can Zoom in, Zoom out, or move the view in any direction.

MAPQUEST is another great place to get a map to your destination. Just type in the address then click on "Get Map".  Or, at the top of the page you can click on "MAPS" and be presented with several other options.  You can use an Airport code, a zip code, an Area code, or a city name among other things to get a map.  Also, they have some other travel services that you might be interested in. At the top click on "DRIVING DIRECTIONS", "ROAD TRIP PLANNER",  or "YELLOW PAGES",  all very useful for planning a road trip.

What time is it at your destination? -   Click to the World Clock, and you'll find out.

WEATHER- To find out what the weather is going to be like at your destination try this
Yahoo weather service.  All you have to do is to enter either the zip code or the city name, click on "Search", and your screen will fill up with a complete weather report.
Travel Forecast at the Weather Depot - I really like this page. It gives an hour by hour forecast for the next two days, searchable by zip code, airport code, or city.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE - Travelers who are headed for destinations out of the United States need to take a look at this site. Here you will be able to get valuable help with Passports and Visas. Also look at the Travel Warnings and Travel Publications to get some very important tips on your destinations.

CURRENCY CONVERSION - This page will help you figure out what your money will be worth in the country you are traveling to. It's great information, but I suggest you use a credit card. You will get the correct exchange rate on each purchase, you will have a written record of all your spending, and it's a lot safer then cash.

Language Help - Offers a lot of help to those needing to learn a foreign language. At least 46 languages are listed. This page also includes sound bites so that you can hear what the words sound like.

PETS - Here are two places in the Madison, IN area that will take care of your pets while you are away.
         - PELSOR'S PET SITTING SERVICE - (812) 866-4963  (medical training)
         - SR PET MOTEL, Vicki Moderau - -  - (812) 866-5381  (kennel)

Lifetime Reminders & Afterthoughts
None of the secrets of success will work unless you do.
If you never make any mistakes, you're not trying hard enough.
If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.
Happy Wife, Happy Life
Don't spoil a good day worrying about a bad day.
Life may not be the party we hoped for but, while we are here we might as well dance
Life is a joke. If you aren't laughing, the joke's on you..
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often.
Going to church, temple, or mosque doesn't make you religious any more then standing in a garage makes you a mechanic.
I refuse to tip toe through life only to arrive safely at death.
