Elaine Carole (Pollard) Miller

Elaine Carole (Pollard) Miller, 76 of Burnside, KY, formerly of Miamisburg, OH, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY. She was born June 15, 1937, in Milan the daughter of the late Forest Elmer Pollard and Nell (Hall) Pollard of Versailles.

In addition to her father, Elaine is preceded in death by a sister, Janet Kaye Knowlton. She is survived by her mother; her husband of 60 years, Ray Miller of Burnside, KY; children, Mitchell (Tracy) Miller of Warner Robins, GA, David (Linda) Miller of Savannah, GA, and Catherine Koch (Lee Hieronymus) of Miamisburg; grandchildren, David (Alicia) Miller Jr. of San Diego, CA, Maggy (Joe) Palmer of Pooler, GA, and Heather Koch of Brooklyn, NY; great grandchildren Nathan and Russell; siblings, Polly (Don) Hunger of Versailles, Elmer Lee Pollard of Indianapolis, Maurice (Mary Alice) Pollard of Waynesville, OH, and Phil (Jan) Pollard of Broomfield, CO; a brother-in-law, Russell Knowlton of Osgood; as well as numerous other extended family.

Elaine attended Versailles High School and later received her associate accounting degree with honors from Sinclair Community College. She dedicated the majority of her life to caring for her family and was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Miamisburg.

She was active in her community as a member of the Miami Township Fire Department #4 Ladies Auxiliary, an election poll worker for over 25 years and assisting with the Trinity Ladies Bazaar in numerous events. Elaine loved to fish, sew, knit, garden and mow.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 10, at the Trinity United Church of Christ, Miamisburg, OH, with Pastor Joel Getts officiating. Burial will take place at Miami Valley Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family.

Barbara Jean Calhoun

Barbara Jean Calhoun, 57, of Batesville, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon, all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Cincinnati, OH. Richard W. Daiker

Richard W. Daiker, 68 of Heath, TX, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013. He was born January 6, 1945, in Osgood, the son of William and Mary Ann Daiker.

Richard served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves and earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the University of Indiana. He was the founder and owner of K&S Insurance Agency in Rockwall and active in the Chamber of Commerce, serving as past chairman. Richard enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf and loved his dogs very much. He was a great son, father, grandfather and friend, who was loved by all.

Survivors include his daughter: Terri Daiker (Larry) Farley; grandsons: Errin Farley and Zachery Daiker, all of Heath, TX; mother: Mary Ann Mulford (Donald) of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, William Daiker.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 11 at First United Methodist Church Rockwall with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Elmer Davidson

Elmer Davidson, 92, of Osgood, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. He was born at Manchester, Kentucky on August 28, 1921 the son of Millard and Etta Johnson Davidson. He was married to Lucy Norman and she preceded him in death on June 13, 1997.

Survivors include three daughters, Margie Penick and Doris Jean Otis both of Cincinnati, and June Shadday of Indianapolis; and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sons Carl, Nathaniel, and Gary Davidson, his brothers Harrison Davidson and Dewey Frazier, and his sister Alice Lee.

Mr. Davidson retired from the Meier, Johan, and Wengler Foundry in Cincinnati where he worked as a core maker. Elmer was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Sunman.

Funeral services wereheld Monday, November 11 at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Sue Hacker officiating. Burial was in the Greendale Cemetery at Osgood. Memorials may be given to the Activity Fund of the Manderley Health Care Center in care of the funeral home.

Anne Lambert

Anne Lambert, 83, of Milan, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Ripley Crossing at Milan. She was born Thursday, July 31, 1930 in Aurora, the daughter of William M. and Myrtle Goble Smith Lambert.

Anne was a 1949 graduate of Milan High School and was a retired employee of 30 years from Alton Box Company. She was a member of the Milan United Methodist Church and Milan United Methodist Women. She was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, and loved her cats.

Anne is survived by a sister-in-law, Betty Lambert of Lawrenceburg and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers Don and Bill Lambert and two sisters Louise Lambert and Ruth Feltner.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 11, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, with Pastor Chuck Britt officiating. Burial was in New Craven Cemetery at Milan. Beulah E. Lamb

Beulah E. Lamb, 97, of Versailles, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. She was born at Morgantown, on January 9, 1916, the daughter of James and Belle Rhodes Whitaker. She was married to Keith Lamb on January 24, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 19, 1990.

Survivors include one son, Larry (Patricia) Lamb of Poway, California; one daughter, Margaret Evans of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Norma Bishop, and her son-in-law Donald Evans.

Mrs. Lamb was a homemaker and a former employee of the Colonial Cottage Restaurant in Versailles. Beulah was a member of the Cedar Creek Community Church near Osgood.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 9 at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Garland Rudd officiating. Burial was in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.

Christopher Evan "Chris" lsop, 58, of Stanton, CA, formerly of Madison, passed away Monday, October 14, 2013.
