Hard work pays off: Regan Richter wins trophy

Pictured left, JCDES third grader Regan Richter displays her trophy won on October 26, after claiming first place in Forms in the 7 to 9 yr. old intermediate to advanced class. She also earned a third place medal in Point Sparring. Currently a Red Belt and soon to be testing for her Brown Belt, Regan is a member of Smith Martial Arts in Greensburg under Master Shane Smith. An upcoming event is slated on December 7, at the Greensburg Armory.
South Ripley graduate defends Franklin Grizzlies

Pictured right, defending in his Franklin Grizzlies blue-and-gold uniform as a freshman during his first collegiate competition of 2013-14 is South Ripley Raider graduate Cody Federmann (51). In his six minutes of debut action on November 15 and the team’s season opener on the road, Cody scored a point and was credited with three rebounds in their 96-91 victory over hosting Wabash College.
