Two years in the making, the 2013 Ripley County freshman boys basketball championship game will finally be settled at South Ripley High School on Tuesday evening, January 14.

The Milan Indians earned their spot on the championship slate, after defeating the Batesville Bulldogs. South Ripley knocked off rival JCD to seal their opportunity for the glory.

Amidst all the weather-related issues surrounding the playing of the annual Ripley County Basketball tournament, it was determined the best chance for the teams to settle freshman honors would be as an entry game. This will be held prior to the already regular season scheduled game at SRHS where the visiting Indians are to battle the hosting Raiders in JV and varsity boys action. The freshman boys RCT championship will tip off at 6 p.m. with JV and varsity action to follow.
