Lori Jean (Bering) Shaw
Lori Jean Shaw (nee Bering) 37, of Moores Hill, died suddenly at her home Sunday evening October 12, 2014. Lori was born Tuesday October 11, 1977 in Ky., the daughter of Frank and Jacque (Setty) Bering. She married Robert Shaw May 29, 1999 and he survives.
Lori is survived by her loving husband Robert J. Shaw 41, of Moores Hill, their four beautiful daughters Ashely Shaw, 14, Katlin Shaw, 12, Brooklin Shaw, 11, and Hailee Shaw, 9, and her father Frank Beringand of Moores Hill; one brother; and one sister. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jackie Bering.
Lori was a homemaker taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 18, at Hope Baptist Church, Dillsboro, with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday from 12-1 p.m. at the church. Johnny D. Anderson
Johnny D. Anderson, 67, of Dillsboro, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born December 29, 1946 in Harrodsburg, Ky., and graduated from Dillsboro High School in 1964. He was self employed in the glass business.
Surviving are two sons, Patrick (Sheena) Anderson and Chris Anderson, both of Dillsboro; one daughter, Patricia Anderson, of Corydon; three brothers; and two grandchildren.
A life celebration for family and all of his friends will be Saturday, October 25, from 5-8 p.m. at the Dillsboro American Legion. Memorials may be given to the family to defray expenses. Arrangements are entrusted to DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro.
Christine (Wood) Beach
Christine (Wood) Beach, 86, of Vevay died Monday, October 13, 2014. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 17, at 1 p.m., by Rev. Ronald Sandidge, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Activities Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home. Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, is in charge of arrangements.
