Veva Rosalee Lewis

Veva Rosalee Lewis, 70, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Margaret Mary Health at Batesville. Veva was born Sunday, December 5, 1943 in Indianapolis, the daughter of William T. and Elizabeth Runyan. She married Frank W. Lewis on July 12, 1964, and he survives.

Veva was a housewife and spent her time raising and caring for her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by son, Frank W. (Billie Jo) Lewis Jr. of Morris; daughters, Rose Marie Lewis and Elizabeth Ann Lewis both of Milan; brothers, Otis and John Runyan; and sisters, Janice Phillips and Margaret Dawson. She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Earl Lewis in 1968, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services to honor Veva’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 3, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Pastor Harris Long officiating. Burial will follow in Craven Cemetery at Milan. Visitation will be Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Milan Volunteer Fire Dept. or Rescue 30. Kenneth A. “Kenny” Minor, 73, of Madison, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 4, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in downtown Madison. Burial will be in the Lick Branch Cemetery near Deputy. Visitation will be Friday, October 3, from 4-8 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Lions Club Scholarship or the First Baptist Church Stained Glass Restoration Fund, contribution cards are available at the funeral home.
