Draw meeting for 2015 held at South Ripley High School

Working her way through final details of what will be her last year as the South Ripley Athletic Director, Debbie Jett led the way with the 2015 Ripley County Basketball Tournament draw meeting held in the South Ripley High School Library on Tuesday, December 2. Jett welcomed staff representing Batesville, Jac-Cen-Del, Milan and hosting South Ripley along with Randy and Patty Young of the Ripley County Basketball Hall of Fame, and media members Brian Samples and Shawn Halcomb and Gary Franklin.

Represented though unavailable were Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles Scott Smith and Milan Lady Indians Bob Bressert.


Following a meal, the drawing was held and arrangement details for the 2015 RCT were presented, discussed and approved with solid support from all attending. This year’s opening round action at every level will find the opening contests between the South Ripley Raiders and the Milan Indians with the second game between the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles and the Batesville Bulldogs. South Ripley High School is host for the boys varsity tournament action. Milan High School is host for the girls varsity action. Junior varsity boys open at Milan High School, while the JV girls simultaneously open at Jac-Cen-Del HS No JV consolation game allows for a JV championship slate at Milan HS on Saturday, Dec. 10 beginning with girls at 10 a.m. and boys following at 11:30 a.m. There will be no RCT freshman tournament this year.
