A multitude of young sports enthusiasts find the dream of continuing in their sport of choice after high school are past. We know far too well, those who actually get to make that dream a reality are few and far between, especially those who continue beyond their first year after getting to the collegiate level.

Motivated, dedicated and unwilling to be denied her opportunity in pursuing her dream, Jessica Foster, a 2012 graduate of South Ripley High School and mild mannered leading member of the SR Lady Raiders basketball team, continues making that dream a reality. Foster, the daughter of Robin and Bud Davis of Versailles and Prince Foster of Cincinnati left her mark in the SR Lady Raider basketball record books, while competing with very athletic and competitive classmates.

Nearing her closing days as a South Ripley Lady Raider senior athlete and a star, Foster signed a Letter of Intent to join the Georgetown College Lady Tiger basketball team upon graduation.

Foster’s work ethic and moral fiber helped her persist as a freshman Georgetown College Lady Tiger and now as a sophomore with an ever increasing arsenal at her disposal, she continues getting the job done while being called on to fill an even greater role on the Georgetown College team. Finding academics in college as important or even more so than in high school, Foster earned a prestigious honor this season, as she was named to the Mid - South Conference All - Academic Team.

The Georgetown College Lady Tiger Head Basketball Coach Andrea McCloskey said, “Jessica deserves recognition and great appreciation for her hard work and dedication to her team and the sport.”
