Row two: Jillian Gehl of Jac-Cen-Del HS, daughter of Jim; Kayla Peetz of Milan HS, daughter of Scott and Shannon; Caylin Locker of Batesville HS, daughter of Jack and Kimberly; Brooke A. Rohlfing of Batesville HS, daughter of Tracy and Beth; and Miranda Richter of East Central HS, daughter of Jim and Cathy.

The games originated following the Milan Indians successful State Championship run in 1954 and has held pace over the years to earn its place as the longest running active All-Star games going in the state. With the inclusion of girls basketball being recognized as a sanctioned IHSAA sport, the boys All-Star showcase was joined by a girls All-Star showcase as well.

Each year, the 40/8 has worked to help local interested students in their pursuit of RN degrees with scholarship assistance. Not everyone that applies attains funding assistance, but the 40/8 does all that is in their power to help as many as they possibly can each Spring. Those who receive the scholarships are announced and introduced during intermission between the girls and boys All-Star games. These men of the 40/8 have served their country when needed and continue serving even at this point in their lives to help make their local communities and America the best it can possibly be. Many hours of volunteer work is performed, as they seek sponsorship funding from various individuals and businesses throughout the community. The end result this year was the awarding of 11 more scholarships to RN-seeking students.
