Feeding on a pretty steady diet of golf balls and greens for some time now has reaped positive benefits for Jac-Cen-Del Eagle Boys Golf Team member Lucas Williams.

Williams has performed well during the regular season. On Friday, June 7, at the Greensburg Country Club, host of the 2014 IHSAA Boys Golf Sectional #27, it seemed to have paid off for him yet again as he advanced to individual Regional competition. His total score for 18 holes at 76 was strong enough to earn him the first of three individual scorers advancing without a team. Fellow local golfers advancing individually without their teammates included East Central Trojan Chad Spencer (78) and Batesville Bulldog Dominique Schildkneck (79).

The next competition for those earning advancement from the IHSAA Greensburg Country Club Boys Golf Sectional #27 will be hosted by Providence HS at the Champion Pointe Golf Course on Thursday, June 12, with an opening time of 8 a.m. Advancers from the Sectional sites of Madison, Bloomington North, Jasper, Southport, Providence and Greensburg will compete there.
