There’s no doubt about it, for most people, it doesn’t just happen. A lot of blood, sweat and tears along with intestinal fortitude or just plain guts and supporters are basic ingredients to make winning the Indiana Diesel Super Street Shoot-out possible. Ben Shadday now holds the number-one spot, winning the 2014 Indiana Diesel Super Street Shoot-out ran at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, June 14

Shadday along with support from wife Olivia Newhart Shadday led his host of supporters to the drag victory table once again. This year, Shadday’s winning pace for his drag run was a cool 147 mph, delivered in his Done Right Diesel Performance 2004 Dodge. Many have had the pleasure of his annual showing at the Ripley County 4-H Fair, as the white streak draped in black smoke fills the track while performing. Shadday is an owner/operator of Done Right Diesel Performance.

This year’s annual 2014 Indiana Diesel Shoot-out events opened on the evening of Friday the 13 with sled pulls at the Marion County Fairgrounds, before moving to the drag racing, Dyno competition and burnout contests at the Lucas Oil Speedway for Saturday June 14 completion of the two day annual event.

The next scheduled anticipated event on the Shadday’s competitive trail is the NHRDA Carolina Diesel Nationals on Saturday, July 26, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Rockingham Dragway in Rockingham, North Carolina.
