Martha Louise Stuhrenberg


Martha Louise Stuhrenberg, 83, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at her residence in Greensburg. She was born in Orange, Indiana, on March 28, 1932, to William and Frances (Craft) Davis. Martha was married to Frank H. Stuhrenberg, Jr. on November 26, 1949 and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1982.

Martha worked in health care for 26 years. She started working in nursing homes in 1978. She received her degree in 1981 and became a CNA/QMA. She then worked in home health care as a visiting nurse. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen.

She is survived by two sons; Jerry (Nancy) Stuehrenberg of Greensburg, Tom (Angie) Stuehrenberg of Cross Plains; one daughter; Diana (Yogi) Bare of St. Paul; three daughters-in-law: Judy Stuehrenberg of North Vernon, Teresa Stuehrenberg and Julie Stuehrenberg, both of Greensburg; three sisters: Mary Biddle and Betty Wall, both of Ft. Wayne, Shirley Rigby of Greensburg, 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sons: Dale, Frank III, David, and Bill Stuehrenberg; daughter-in-law: Patricia Stuehrenberg; four brothers: John, Harold, Bill, and Larry Davis; and one sister: Gwendolyn Bowen.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. A funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Millhousen. Memorials can be made to the Decatur County Hospice. Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home, Greensburg, is in charge of arrangements.
