Annual South Ripley High School Fall Sports
Raider athletes recognition and awards presentation
held at South Ripley High School

Gary Franklin
SPORTS EDITOR

Held on Tuesday evening, October 28, at SRHS, a welcome was given to athletes, their parents, school officials and guests by South Ripley's Athletic Director Deb Jett opening with the usual list of thank-yous to all who had helped promote positivity in the multiple programs availed at SRHS to students. An introduction to coaches resulted in a revelation that AD Jett is serving her last year, retiring at the end of the 2014-15 school year. The SRHS fall sports coaches included Greg Huntington, Lady Raiders golf; John Brison, Lady Raiders soccer; Jim Cole, co-ed cross country; and David Baugh, Raiders soccer. It was also announced that due to conflict in obligations, the Lady Raider volleyball team had elected to have their own recognition program instead of being part of the regular overall celebration. The 2014 Lady Raiders head volleyball coach was Phil King, with JV coach Robyn Greiwe assisted by Jessica Hamm. Coach King’s varsity award earners were named after school, Wednesday, October 29.
