Marjorie L. Stevens
Marjorie L. Stevens, 83, of Moores Hill, passed away Monday, November 10, 2014, at her home. Marjorie was born Sunday, September 13, 1931 in Milan, the daughter of Arnold and Laura (Elrod) Stutler. She married Harold “Bud” Stevens on Saturday July 8, 1950, and he survives.
She was an employee of JayC Food Store in Milan. Marjorie was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church where she was the Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, crocheting, and she liked animals especially horses.
Other survivors include, daughters Judy Ison and Jill Mitchell both of Moores Hill, brothers Gary Stutler of Friendship and Ronald Stutler of Versailles, grandsons Shawn Ison and Derek Stevens, great-grandson Tyler Berry, and great-granddaughter Shyanne Ison.
Marjorie was preceded in death by one son Jack Stevens on Oct. 13, 1997, sister Roberta Ashcraft, and brothers Ernest, Wallace, Daryl and Merle Stutler.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 14, at 11 a.m. at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Moores Hill. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial may be given to Union Cemetery.
