South Ripley Lady Raider varsity defeats visiting Franklin County Lady Wildcats 71-64

Coach Kevin Mack's SR Lady Raider varsity added another notch to a productive early season with a 71-64 victory over the visiting Franklin County Lady Wildcats, on Dec. 13. Their only bump, a one point loss to rival JCD Lady Eagles in the season opener. With just two seniors on the team, the underclassmen are stepping up for the task at hand. Senior Hayley Schwarte leads the team scoring most games, but the addition of freshmen who played together to near perfection as SRMS Lady Raiders and as a travel team help keep the SR element sharp.

In Lady Raider varsity action against the hosting Switzerland County Lady Pacers on December 16, SR met with a second loss of the season as they came up short, 25-42; however, in action on December 20, against the Austin Lady Jets, SR regrouped for a 59-49 victory, advancing their season win loss/record before the annual RCT to 9-2.
