Kenny Sharp

Kenny Sharp, 68 of Milan, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, March 7, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born Sunday, May 27, 1945, in Ohio County, the son of James Miller and Wilma Alice (Buddenberg) Sharp. He married Brenda Ridenour Saturday June 17, 1972, who survives.

Kenny served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era and retired as a supervisor at the Joseph Seagrams Co. He was a lifetime farmer, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church at Milan, the American and Indiana Quarter Horse Association, the Milan VFW, and the Milan American Legion. Kenny loved college basketball and was an avid Colts fan. He loved showing quarter horses, playing poker, euchre, fishing, squirrel hunting, cookouts, and most of all spending time with his family.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Brenda; son Jeff Sharp; and daughter Kris (Ron) Bushhorn; sister Barbara (David) Scranton; grandchildren Delaney, Karley, and Colby Bushhorn; father-in-law David Ridenour; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (7124 N. State Road 101), Milan, with Pastor Susan Socha officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be made in his name to the Delaware Fire Dept. or Margaret Mary Health Foundation Cancer Center through the funeral home.
