When talking to track and field participants one quickly finds out how much actual training and sacrifice is spent getting from good, to better, to best.

Hard work and dedicated persistence has paid off many times for JCD Lady Eagle Kelsey Bowling and South Ripley Raider Austin Allen. Setting and attaining realistic goals, raising the bar a little higher each meet is what these two athletes do every meet. Not in a single season but over many seasons and through lots of sweat and hundreds of sore muscles; however, each will smile and say it is worth it.

Finishes for each at the SCHS Invite included:
Lady Eagle Kelsey Bowling
Assistant JCD Lady Eagle T&F Coach Larry Hammond reports Bowling placed 1st @ Long Jump, 1st in 100 Hurdles, 1st in 300 Hurdles and one leg of the 1st place finishing 4x400 JCD Lady Eagle Relay Team with teammates Sasha Wagner, Kayla Bowling and Jenna Hughes.

South Ripley Raider T&F Coach Jim Cole reports Allen placed 1st in Long Jump @ 19' 4.75", 1st in 400M Dash @ :52.41, 2nd in 100M Dash @ :11.19 and 2nd in 200M Dash @ :23.39.
