Success continues for Milan Indians Tennis Team

A sweep over competition this past week was enjoyed by Milan Indians Head Tennis Coach Zach Wade and his team, as they captured 5-0 match victories over the Oldenburg Academy Twisters, the Lawrenceburg Tigers and the Southwestern Hanover Rebels.

With the last three sweeping wins, the tribe has advanced to a 6-1 season (with five in a row) to date with seven to go until South Dearborn hosted Sectionals. Again, the tribe won 5-0 impressively over the Oldenburg Academy Twisters in Tuesday, September 10 matches.

Results:
#1 singles Dean Elrod, who held off to win a tough straight set match 7-6, 6-2
#2 singles Luke Rehn won easily 6-1, 6-0
#3 singles Eli Schmitt stepped in for an injured
Jordan Burton and won an impressive match 6-0, 6-0

They were solid against the Southwestern Hanover Rebels on Thursday, Sept. 4, which included:
#1 singles Dean Elrod
#2 singles Sam Rehn
#3 singles Jordan Burton
#1 doubles Travis Butte & Luke Rehn
#2 doubles Paul Hawk & Josh Bixler

Lawrenceburg Tigers on Wednesday, Sept. 3 in matches that included:
#1 singles Dean Elrod
#2 singles Luke Rehn
#3 singles Jordan Burton
#1 doubles Travis Butte
#2 doubles Paul Hawk & Josh Bixler

The Indians winning streak has continued, after battling the Lawrenceburg Tigers on Wednesday, Sept. 3 in matches that included:
#1 singles Dean Elrod
#2 singles Luke Rehn
#3 singles Jordan Burton
#1 doubles Travis Butte & Sam Rehn
#2 doubles Paul Hawk & Josh Bixler.
