Jac-Den-Del Eagles varsity continues to soar

Without the assistance of key Jac-Cen-Del Eagle starter senior Blake Straub in their lineup, a steadfast battle against the visiting Rising Sun Shiners on Friday evening, September 12, resulted in a 1-1 tie after first half action ended. As play continued through a second varsity half of play, with neither team able to capitalize on a goal shot the 1-1 tie held up, leaving JCD’s season record 5-2-2 with an ORVC conference record standing at 4-1-1.

Road action on Wednesday evening, September 10, found JCD crushing their Switzerland Co. Pacers hosting opponents by a 10-0 final score after scoring six unanswered goals in the first half, then four more in the final period’s action to win 10-0.

Despite playing minimal minutes during the SC game, Eagle starters Tyler Huff (4)and Thiago Kronemberg (Kapps) (22) scored four goals each. Eagles teammates Dillon Engel (11) and Devon Wilson (3) each added a goal for the total of 10 Eagle points for the game while blanking the SC Pacers.

Eagle senior Riley Thomas (14); juniors – Devon Wilson (3), Allen Troy (2), and Dillon Engel (11), along with freshman Blake Smith each earned goal assists recognition during the game. Eagle Wilson (3) shared defensive goalkeeper duties with junior teammate Mason Powers (11). The JCD’s official record at the conclusion of the JCD/SC game stood at 5-2-1, with ORVC conference: 4-1-0.



Varsity road action results on Wednesday, September 9, found a JCD Eagles coed soccer team the 3-2 winner.
Eagle junior Tyler Huff (4) netted two goal scores, while Thiago Kronemberg (Kapps) (22) each added a goal score.
Eagle Junior Patrick Holt (8) collected an assist, with teammate Mason Powers (23) and Devon Wilson covering as JCD goalies. The Eagle JV half concluded in a 1-0 JCD victory as well.
