Andrew Grossman

Andrew Grossman, 81, of the Hopewell Community, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015 at his home. He was born on the farm October 31, 1934, the son of Leland “Pete” and Juanita Burton Grossman. He was married to Elizabeth Pratt on August 6, 1955 and his wife of 60 years survives. Other survivors include two sons, Victor (Jill) Grossman of Madison and Michael Grossman of Holton; one daughter, Kathy (Steve) Franklin of Holton; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Montana Whitson, and his brothers Ray Grossman and Ernie Grossman.

Mr. Grossman was a 1952 graduate of Holton High School. He was a former employee of Beatrice Foods in Osgood and retired from Hoosier Energy in 1989. Andy was also a farmer and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15 at 11 a.m. at the Hopewell Baptist Church with Pastor Ty Choate officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. Memorials may be given to the Hopewell Baptist Church building fund in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.


Pauline Ruth Craig

Pauline Ruth Craig, 90, Aurora, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, in Lawrenceburg. She was born Friday, September 4, 1925 in Milan, the daughter of the late Vernon McKittrick and the late Ruth Lowe McKittrick.

Pauline was a member of member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manchester. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, and quilting. Her time spent with family was her favorite pastime.

Surviving are sons, Marvin (Vera) Craig of Littleton, CO, Melvin (Susan) Craig of Aurora; brother, Earl McKittrick of Ft Worth, TX; sisters, Irene Godsey of Lawrenceburg, Jean Conley of Portsmouth, OH; grandchildren, Brian (Sheree) Craig of Aurora, Jason Craig (Laurie Gripshover) of Waldon, KY; great grandchildren, Brayson, Brooklyn and A.J. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Estal Charles Craig.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 10 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora. Burial followed in the Craven Cemetery, Milan. Albert D. Courter, 83, Aurora, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015. Funeral services were held Monday, December 14 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Moores Hill.
