Sixth grader Machaela Cobler, daughter of Chad and Kelli Cobler of Napoleon, along with her trusty ride “All About the Tease” (aka) “Daisy” had earned an invitation to compete in the Appaloosa World Horse Show in Fort Worth, Texas.
Her mother Kelli recently reported that Machaela competed in five classes at the Appaloosa Youth World Show.

Summer vacation brings big smiles, miles and miles away from home and back, as Machaela Cobler and Daisy do a trek around Texas and back!

“She was very excited to place in all her classes. Machaela and her horse Daisy earned a Top 5 in Walk Trot Western Pleasure, Trail and Horsemanship. Next came showmanship, where she was able to earn an 8th place out of a difficult, large class. Her final class was English Equitation and she earned 6th place by completing a difficult pattern.”

Machaela says the favorite part of her trip was spending time with her Appaloosa friends, noting that she has horse show friends from Ohio, Wisconsin and Massachusetts as well as here in Indiana. This adventurous journey concluded by attending the Appaloosa Youth Association banquet where she was honored for Top Ten in the Nation in Showmanship and Horsemanship for 2014. Machaela, Daisy and many of her friends will be at the Ripley County 4-H Fair Horse & Pony Barn and Show Arena next week.
