South Ripley on the other hand, entered with an overall season record of 16-7, with three of those wins having been over the Lady Indians by scores of 67-30, 64-31 and 62-26. The Lady Raiders victory in Sectional action came at a final tally of 56-35 over the Lady Indians, advancing SR to face the Austin Lady Eagles in Friday evening 6 p.m. action on February 5. The Lady Eagles had defeated South Ripley in a Saturday afternoon battle at South Ripley High School on December 19, which was their only meeting of the regular season, 52-39; however, December to February is a whole different season from this sectional meeting.
