There’s no place like home, home plate that is, for coaches Kate and Jake Todd. The South Ripley Lady Raiders, coached by Kate Todd who is expecting a baby soon, were prepared for the battle against the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles led by none other than Head Lady Eagle Softball Coach and husband, Jake. Joining the Todds is Umpire Kevin Henney, center, ready to get the rivalry battle underway.

Wednesday evening at South Ripley ball fields, April 13, represented the first round of spring softball and baseball head-to-head competition for the 2016 season.

The visiting Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles varsity coached by Jake Todd claimed victory over wife Kate’s South Ripley Lady Raiders by a final tally of JCD 3-1 SR. “Next time.” stated Coach Kate Todd, referring to her team earning a victory over husband Jake’s Lady Eagles!
