Willa M. Swafford


Willa M. Swafford, 86, of Dillsboro, and formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 in Dillsboro. Willa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and her son Richard Swafford.

Willa is survived by children, Kathleen Walker, Peggy Richards, Robbin Swafford, Cindy Harbit, Robert Swafford and Shane Allen Swafford; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Visitation will be from 12 noon until service time. Entombment will be in Washington Park East Cemetery. Hallie Lou Seamon

Hallie Lou Seamon, 88, of Greentown, formally of Dillsboro, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. Hallie was born Tuesday, June 12, 1928 in Cleves, Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Clayton) Barnard. She married her husband Harold Seamon December 24, 1950 and he preceded her in death April 13, 2005.

Hallie attended St. Peter Lutheran Church in Dillsboro. She was a homemaker and was a former member of the Dillsboro 50+ Club, Dillsboro Civic Club, Dillsboro 50+ Exercise Club. She enjoyed camping, bowling, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Hallie is survived by son: Harold Jr. “Butch” (Holly) Seamon of Kokomo; sister: Ann Davis of Greentown; two grandchildren Aaron (Elizabeth) Seamon and Megan Seamon; two great grandchildren: Natalie and Caitlyn Seamon. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters: Virginia Kirkwood and Marjory Warner and brother: Donald Barnard.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, July 28 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 12963 North Street Dillsboro, IN 47018 with Mr. Keith Allhandes officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, July 27 at the church. Also visitation will be Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
