Ruth L. Hamilton

Ruth L. Hamilton, 97, of Versailles, passed away at 12:20 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Cincinnati on November 2, 1920, the daughter of Albert and Augusta Luhring Murray.

Ruth enjoyed telling folks that she was born on the day Warren G. Harding was elected president of the United States. Ruth is survived by her son Fred Hamilton of Hanover, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother F.H. Murray. Mrs. Hamilton was a former employee of the Dillsboro Sanitarium, but was best known in Versailles for the many years, she worked as a nurse for Dr. Parker and later in the front office for Dr. Robert Mulford. Ruth was a member of the Eastern Star.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Mike Cantrell of the Versailles Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery at Dillsboro. Visitation will also be on Thursday from 12 p.m. until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Versailles American Legion in care of the funeral home.


Robert Duane Miller

Robert “Robby” Duane Miller, age 49, of Hanover, died on Monday, December 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 22 at 11 a.m. at the Hanover Baptist Church, Hanover. Interment will follow in the Hanover Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre - Hanover Chapel, Hanover, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Michael Hess Foundation or the Miller Grandchildren’s Trust. Cards are available at the funeral home and the church.
