Over the first 13 games of the 2017 season, the Milan Lady Indians Varsity Softball Team, led by returning Head Coach Yatzie Roysden and his assistant coaches, find themselves 5-2 in home action and 3-3 on the road. The busy Lady Indians’ schedule have one more game slated for this week. The look to take on the Rising Sun Lady Shiners at RSHS in road game action on Friday, April 28, at 5 p.m.

Hosting Lady Indians action on Tuesday evening, April 25 versus the visiting North Decatur Lady Chargers resulted in a Milan victory by a final count of 13-6 in 6 1/2 innings. The Tribe held a 13-1 lead after the fourth, then substituting several players in the top of the fifth, which ended up resulting in the Lady Chargers challenging to add 3 runs in their at bat in the top of the fifth; then, holding the Lady Indians in the bottom forcing the contest to the full game rather than the 10 run rule in five.
