Judy Marlene (Meyer) Long

Judy Marlene (Meyer) Long of Pleasant Plain, OH, was born on May 3, 1950 in Batesville. She went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the age of 67.

Beloved wife of 42 years to Paul M. Long. Dear sister of Ronald (Linda L.) Meyer, William (Ella) Meyer, Mark (Nancy) Meyer, Ricky (Karen) Meyer, Randy (Linda M.) Meyer and the late David Meyer and Holly Meyer. Cherished daughter of the late Glenn Richard and Pearl Edith (nee Woliung) Meyer. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Judy was an elementary school teacher for 30 years. She taught at Osgood Elementary for three years and at Marr Cook Elementary (Goshen, OH) for 27 years. Judy was the church organist at Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church for 40 years, where she was also the choir director. Judy was inspired by music and she loved to sing. She loved her family and enjoyed serving others and the Lord.

Services were held on Wednesday, August 23 at Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church, Pleasant Plain, OH., with burial in the Union Cemetery, Symmes TWP, OH. David Ivan Bean

David Ivan Bean, 78, of Greensburg, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017. He was born on June 16, 1939 in Osgood, the son of Ivan and Emily (Corson) Bean. He was a 1957 graduate of Osgood High School. On April 14, 1962 he married Carolyn June Weber and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2011.

David was the owner of Napa of Greensburg. He had worked at KB Foods and most recently drove cars for Acra Automotive. He was a member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge of Greensburg, Order of the Eastern Star, employed by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and was a Greensburg volunteer fireman. David was best known for spreading holiday cheer both locally and in the surrounding communities during the Christmas season.

Survivors include: daughters- Deborah (John) Sellers and Melissa (David) Fischer; grandchildren- Olivia (Shane) Fischer-Smith, Sean Sellers, and Kyle Sellers; and sister- Emily D. Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Carolyn and his brother Donald Bean.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 24 from 3-7 p.m. at the Greensburg United Methodist Church. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 25 also at the church with Pastor Dan Richwine officiating. Burial will follow at the South Park Cemetery. Cleaty Thomas, 93, of Sunman, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 25 at the Dearborn Baptist Church, Aurora, with funeral services following. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park, Hamilton, Ohio. Memorials may be given to either the Dearborn Baptist Church or Manchester Life Squad.
