Faith M. Hensley

Faith M. Hensley, 87, of North Vernon, formerly of New Marion, passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1927, the daughter of O. P. and Roxanna Wilson Kearns. She was married to Earl Hensley and he preceded her in death on May 31, 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Kent Hensley of Indianapolis and Kevin (Sandra) Hensley of Versailles; two daughters, Karen Long and Kathy Hensley both of North Vernon; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Francina Bailey and Janet Proctor.

Mrs. Hensley graduated college in Pennsylvania and had worked as a telephone operator in Cape Canaveral, Florida and also in Greensburg. She retired in 1985 after 37 years working as an attendant at the Muscatatuck State Developmental Center at Butlerville.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Dale Day officiating. Burial will be in the New Marion Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. until time of services. Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association or the New Marion Cemetery in care of the funeral home.


Kenneth C. Wallen

Kenneth C. Wallen, 87 of Batesville, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Sept. 18 at 1:30 p.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville, is in charge of arrangements.
