Rick Fields, 66, Dillsboro, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015. Services are pending at DeVries Funeral Home, Dillsboro. Full obituary will be published in Tuesday’s Osgood Journal.


Dorothy Marie Walker

Dorothy Marie Walker, 90, Dillsboro, passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2015, at the Waters of Dillsboro.

Dorothy was born July 7, 1925 in Cross Plains to Gerhard and Clara (Ohlmansiek) Kamman. On February 1, 1947 she was married to Howard Wilham Fred Moeller, and he passed away May 13, 1987. She then married Robert Walker in 1989 and he passed away in 1993. Dorothy was employed for many years at the Jefferson Proving Grounds as an accountant. She was a long time faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dillsboro, where she took part in many activities. She loved sewing and until late in life she actively took part in bowling.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Moeller and Robert Walker; a son, Douglas William Moeller in in 1960; one great granddaughter, Cheyenne Marie Jordan, in 1998; and two brothers, Eldred and Estol Kamman. Surviving is one son, Gregory Dean Moeller, of Cincinnati, and one daughter, Judy Anderson, of Dillsboro; a grandson, Tracy Anderson, and two great grandchildren, Morgan and Mackenzie Anderson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating. Friends may meet her family at DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro on Thursday, October 15 from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro next to her husband Howard Moeller and her son, Douglas. Memorials in her memory may be given to her church or to the American Cancer Society. DeVries Funeral Home, Dillsboro, is in charge of arrangements.


Mary Elizabeth Bray

Mary Elizabeth Bray, 90, Indianapolis, passed away at 3 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born at New Marion on March 13, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Creola Swinney Ketzendorf. She was married to William Bray on June 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1966. Survivors include her daughter Creola Bray of Indianapolis. She was also preceded in death by her brother Ernest Ketzendorf and her sister Viola Ruth Smiley.

Mrs. Bray was a 1943 graduate of New Marion High School and was a former employee of International Harvester in Indianapolis. She retired in 1989 after 24 years as a custodian for Pike High School in Indianapolis.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Memorials may be given to the Holton Cemetery in care of the funeral home.


Max Roland Poling

Max Roland Poling, 76, Canaan, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 16 at 11 a.m. at the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church, 4413 East, 925 North near Canaan with burial in the Pleasant Cemetery in Pleasant. Visitation will be Thursday, October 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, and Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given to the Indian-Kentuck Baptist Church, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family via the funeral home’s website at www.morgan-nay.com.


James Bryan Hail

James Bryan Hail, 52, Milan, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at Dearborn Baptist Church. Friends may meet his family at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements are entrusted to DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro.
