South Ripley Lady Raiders rein in visiting North Decatur Lady Chargers

Gary Franklin
SPORTS EDITOR

Tuesday evening Dec. 1, the hosting South Ripley Lady Raider teams found favor, as they corralled not one, but both visiting North Decatur Lady Charger teams claiming a one point JV, 23-22 victory, followed by a 6 point varsity victory to the final count of 46-40. Lady Raider Coach Andrew Bayne’s JV team managed to regain the lead in their contest with around 16 seconds remaining on the game clock and managed to hold off any further scoring by the Lady Chargers. Lady Raider Basketball Head Coach Kevin Mack found his girls intent on giving ND opportunity after opportunity to come back on their lead in the final stanza with insistence to put the ball into the paint in spite of being heavily guarded by ND. As the saying goes, “A win is a win, it doesn't have to be pretty.” JV Girls Game
