Barbara Ann Palmer

Barbara Ann Palmer, 82, of Milan, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at the Hancock Regional Hospital at Greenfield, Indiana. Barbara was born Friday, March 17, 1933 in Aurora, the daughter of William R. and Gatha (Hodges) Payton. She married Earl Palmer January 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death January 17, 2015.

She was a former employee of Schenley Distillery and a member of the South Sparta Community Church. Barbara loved to cook, and spend time with her Grandkids.

Barbara is survived by daughter Deborah (Eric) Truitt of Greenfield; sons Dean (Shelly) Palmer of Whitesboro, Texas; Dennis (Anna) Palmer of Knoxville, Tennessee; and Michael Palmer of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Emily Palmer, Erica, Eriel, and Emree Truitt, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Eddie Payton and sister Katherine Hyde.

Services for Barbara will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 18 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Hospice Unit of Hancock Regional Hospital through the funeral home.
