Gary Franklin
SPORTS EDITOR

JCD Lady Eagles Coach Scott Smith’s varsity team battled to a 20 point win over rival South Ripley Lady Raiders Tuesday, Jan. 26 in a final regular stand at South Ripley High School to secure the possession of the Ripley Publishing Traveling Pride Trophy for the season. Their sights are now set on Southwestern Hanover’s Lady Rebels to complete the 2015-16 regular season slate on Thursday evening, January 28, at SwH High School. The South Ripley Lady Raiders close their regular season action on Thursday evening, Jan. 28 also, as they battle the Switzerland County Lady Pacers in Vevay.
January 26 was the final home game of the season for the Lady Raiders, and senior players Ellie Ayers and Taylor Wrightsman were recognized between the JV and varsity game.
