South Ripley Raiders battle back to force in overtime before Greenfield Central is given the 60-53 tournament game victory

Gary Franklin

The second annual South Ripley United Community Bank Holiday Classic Boys Basketball Invitational Tournament got underway on Tuesday, Dec. 29, with JV action in the South Ripley Middle School gym and varsity action in the South Ripley High School gym.

Brady Meyer

The lyrics to an old song “Poetry in Motion” come to mind, while observing the cutting and slashing motion of senior South Ripley Raider Brady Meyer (11), as he eludes would be defenders en route to taking the orange to the rack. Raider teammate senior Ty Tucker (30) is also pictured, as well as a Greenfield Central player at far left.

Eight JV and varsity high school teams were featured in the dual invitational tournament: Oldenburg Academy Twisters, Crothersville Tigers, Indianapolis Bishop Chatard Trojans, East Central Trojans, Christian Academy of Indiana Warriors, Greenfield Central Cougars, South Dearborn Knights, and hosting South Ripley Raiders.
